Transport from the airport
The domestic and international terminals are about 11km and 15km from the city centre. A taxi to the city centre costs $18 and $24 respectively. There is a privately run shuttle bus service which cost $7 from the domestic terminal and $9 from the international.

Public Transport
Perth’s public transport organization, Transperth operates buses, trains and ferries. There’s a free transit zone in the city involving all Transperth buses and trains. You can travel free of charge within the area bounded by Northbridge (Newcastle St) in the North, the river in the South, Kings Park in the west and the Causeway in the east. There are two free excellent Central Area Transit (CAT) services in the city centre. The buses are state of the art and there are computer read outs (and audio services) at the stops telling you when the next bus is due. Using them both, you should get to most sights within the inner city. On regular buses, a short ride of one zone is $1.70, two zones $2.50 and three zones $3.30. A Multi-rider ticket gives 10 journeys for the price of nine, and day tickets cost $6.50.
